ABSTRACT
This study highlighted the women and children protection issues as experienced by the refugees living in Mae La and Umpiem Mei Camps found in Mae Sot, Thailand. It discussed the refugee protection issues, the various Community-based Organizations and Non- government Organizations that respond to the issues and the gaps and disparities using the lens of human-rights based approach 3AQ tools which are availability, accessibility, appropriateness and quality. The establishment of a human-rights based coordinated community-based protection mechanism which is more developmental and more sustainable in tis approach is recommended
