City Wide Social Survey – Series 13

The City Wide Social Survey Series 13 (CWSS 13) was conducted last November 8-14, 2022  and was administered by Social Research Training and Development Office (SRTDO).

The results of the CWSS 13 was presented on December 7, 2022 via Zoom.

The areas of interest covered: Socio-Demographic Profile, Household Facilities, Transportation, Health, Disaster Preparedness, Environment, Labor Force Profile and Status, Financial Situation, Self-Rated Poverty, Economic Trend Indicators, Nationalism, Peace and Order, Martial Law, Governance,  Social Issues, Happiness, within Davao City.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS (SY 2022-2023)

The University Research Council is now accepting research proposals for funding support for SY 2022 – 2023, THE ONLY CALL FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR, except those submitted as an office project  coming from the research offices, the Office of the University President, and the Jesuit Community in Davao.

All full-time faculty members, administrators, and regular members of the non-teaching personnel are invited to submit a research proposal for review, approval, and grant of the University Research Council.  Please refer to the attached document for details.

Call for Proposal SY 20221-2022

The University Research Council issues this Memo as a follow-up to its immediately preceding University Memo 2021-2022-03 Calling for the Submission of Research Proposals. It invites all full-time faculty members, administrators, and regular members of the non-teaching personnel to submit a research proposal for review, approval, and grant. But most of all, it encourages faculty members, especially those from the Higher Education Units, to submit research proposals for funding support om the following research topics in addition to the earlier published Research Agenda,

  1. Critique of the (a. Bangsamoro Education Code, b. Bangsamoro Administrative Code)
  2. Critique of the Executive Order 127 “Expanding the  Provision of Internet Services through Inclusive Access to Satellite Services”
  3. Re-opening of Mining in the Philippines
  4. Theologically/Philosophically-based studies integrating Science and Faith
  5. Studies on History of Mindanao
  6. The consortium of Ateneo Schools in Mindanao: Rationale, Accomplishments, Challenges, and Prospects

Student Consent on Student Initiated Research Conducted in the University

Please be informed that the MIS upon the behest of the University Registrar has sought the students’ consent to participate in research work initiated by students. As conceived, the data allowed for research by the students who consented will be used under the competent supervision of their teacher/adviser, and in observance of the expected ethical standards. It shall be understood further that the consent given by the students in the SIS may be withdrawn by them at anytime.

In this regard, the University Research Council reiterates that the given consent does not take the place of the Informed Consent secured by the Researchers from the prospective Respondent upon presentation of the Research Instrument.
